What does the Roomsys solution do?
At its core, ROOMSYS provides a smart building solution based on wireless sensors and devices that can be centrally monitored and controlled from a single application. The application is accessible through a web browser and mobile app and provides graphical screens and visualization of the building, sensor and device readings, as well as the ability to send remote commands such as turning off HVAC units through the thermostat or closing water valves.
How does it work?
The solution utilizes the LoraWAN wireless communication protocol. “Lora” stands for Long Range, and it is the best technology to use for large deployments, not only because of its range but also because of its low power consumption and efficiency, which gives LoraWAN wireless devices 5-10 year battery lives on average.
What types of sensors and devices are available?
Technically any networked device, but there are a range of devices that have been pre-tested and approved for use by ROOMSYS. There is a large, and continuously growing market of LoraWAN and other networked devices that continue to be tested and added to the list of approved devices.
How can a smart building solution improve energy efficiency and reduce maintenance costs?
Leak sensors will allow immediate detection and response to leaks that will provide immediate ROI on the system, which can be further enhanced with remote shut-off valves or thermostats for even faster response to leaks. Other sensors, like humidity sensors, can monitor and control conditions to prevent mold growth. The system can also integrate lights, shades, power outlets, and a variety of other devices to reduce energy use.
What types of alerts and notifications can a smart building system provide?
We provide automatic alerts through the ROOMSYS mobile app. However, SMS, email, telephone, and/or WhatsApp notifications can also be configured. Additionally, a web dashboard meant for monitoring by concierge or security plays an audible alert when alarms are triggered.
What kind of technical support does Roomsys offer after installation?
Roomsys provides full system maintenance and support after installation. We ensure the system is operating and all devices are connected.
How long does the Roomsys solution installation take?
A typical installation requires about 2-4 weeks of system configuration and mapping and about 2-4 weeks of physical device installation.

Eliminate guesswork, know exactly when and where a leak occurs, and take remedial action remotely with the ROOMSYS smart building system, providing the most state-of-the art approach to building monitoring, control, and automation. Wireless leak sensors, for example, provide 24/7 monitoring, detect the smallest leaks in places rarely checked, and provide immediate detection of large leaks before they cause damage to neighboring units. Proper leak detection is essential for building preservation and maintenance.
ROOMSYS, a leading smart building solutions provider, goes further than just leak detection with a centralized platform that integrates building control with automation of thermostats, shut off valves, door sensors, and more. For example, light sensors can trigger sun shades to automatically lower in specific rooms to lower energy consumption. Or, when the humidity in a room is too high, it can trigger an alert and an automatic command to lower the thermostat temperature. These are just a few possibilities.
Summing up, implementing smart building controls and automation reduces building operational and repair costs, and provides immediate return on investment for residential properties.
